Our story starts with WasteBoards; the world’s first skateboards made of plastic bottle caps that are recognizable in the design. It is our first design product based on our design philosophy: let the waste tell the story of recycling in design. WasteCraft has emerged from WasteBoards. It is a new design label that collaborates with designers who specialize in various waste materials. We work with companies to create design products from their own waste streams. Together with our designer network, we experiment with varied materials and create exciting new design products. But during Salone del Mobile 2023 for the first time, we introduce our own collection of design products. We selected this series of designs because when you look good, they have one thing in common: they are all made of plastic caps. Although these products are different in appearance, they are all made according to the same design principle: using the visual characteristics of this waste material as inspiration for the design.

WASTEBOARDS

WasteBoards are skateboards made from recycled plastic bottle caps. All WasteBoards are made by hand, no two boards are exactly the same. Each WasteBoards is therefore a limited edition. Together with organizations such as the KNGF (Foundation for training of assistance dogs), clean-up campaigns, schools and companies we collect these caps. So, when you buy a WasteBoard, you are supporting all the people and organizations involved in making a WasteBoard.

We collaborated with a team of semi-professional skateboarders to developed WasteBoards. Can you skate on it? Certainly! But at the end a WasteBoard is not just a skateboard, it is a design statement; to be more aware of waste as a valuable material for new cool products.

SIDE TABLES

The table tops are handmade from recycled bottle caps and white regranulate. Customers can suggest a color combination to our design team to fit the set completely to your taste and wishes. We polish these table tops and make them perfectly sized for the various steel frames. Each side table is therefore a limited edition.

LIGHT SCREENS

These 1 x 1 meter recycled bottle cap plates are handmade works of art. The uniqueness of these works is that without light they are beautiful pressed bottlecap plates. But when you turn on the light... it’s like stepping into another world, a magical space that hides in the material and is now exposed for the first time ever. It is a new and unique way to bring the value of waste material to life.
All screens are made from 100% recycled plastic caps.
