Hosted for the first time in the industrial spaces of Lampo, at Scalo Farini, Isola Design Gallery returns with its biggest showcase ever! The Gallery’s layout this year is divided into different sections focusing on collectible design, designs with a narrative, industrial design, new craftsmanship, and contemporary bespoke products by independent designers and design studios. Isola’s curatorial team, led by Elif Resitoglu, selected products that vary in design techniques and materials. Thanks to the polycarbonate panels provided by Polypiù, the exhibition design is a play on color, light, and transparency to contrast the brutalist industrial look of the space. Alongside the various areas of interest, Isola Design Gallery once again hosts the Dutch Corner, supported by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Milan and curated by Wisse Trooster, providing visitors with a glimpse into cutting-edge contemporary Dutch design. Another new addition this year is the presence of DesignWanted with the installation ENHANCE - Design for Social Impact, curated by Juan Torres.

Per la prima volta negli spazi industriali di Lampo, allo Scalo Farini, l’Isola Design Gallery torna con la sua più grande mostra di sempre! Quest’anno l’esibizione è suddivisa in diverse sezioni che hanno un focus sul design da collezione, su progetti con una narrazione, sul design industriale, sul nuovo artigianato e sui prodotti contemporanei su misura realizzati da designer e studi di design indipendenti. Il team curatoriale di Isola diretto da Elif Resitoglu, ha selezionato dei pezzi realizzati con diverse tecniche di progettazione e materiali. Grazie ai pannelli in policarbonato forniti da Polypiù, l’allestimento è un gioco di colori, luci e trasparenze in contrasto con l’aspetto industriale e brutalista dello spazio. Accanto alle varie aree di interesse, Isola Design Gallery ospita nuovamente il Dutch Corner, sostenuto dal Consolato Generale dei Paesi Bassi a Milano e curato da Wisse Trooster, che offre ai visitatori uno sguardo sul design olandese contemporaneo d’avanguardia. Un’altra novità di quest’anno è anche la presenza DesignWanted con l’installazione ENHANCE - Design for Social Impact, a cura di Juan Torres.
