For the first time, Isola takes part in London Design Festival, further expanding its borders in another corner of the world.
Hosted in the iconic five floors Oxo Tower at Bargehouse within the Material Matters fair, Isola will bring its community into a dynamic and atmospheric venue, occupying the space of a whole floor with its exhibition involving around 60 designers and design studios.
Following the year's theme, Nothing Happens if Nothing Happens, Isola is gathering design professionals committed to the mission of using design to promote circularity, innovation and craftsmanship.
The projects selected for Isola’s participation in London Design Festival will follow the key elements of a circular design approach: using regenerative resources, reducing carbon emissions, and repurposing waste materials. A curatorial choice perfectly aligned with Material Matters’ vision, a cross-media platform aimed at designers, architects, manufacturers and makers investigating the importance of material intelligence and how the materials we use will shape our lives over the coming decades.
