Thanks to its growing relations in the Middle East, Isola is excited to reveal Routes to Roots in Milan. Seen first in Saudi Arabia last November for the Conference of Creativity, Tanween 2023, Isola was initially invited by The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture - Ithra to curate the exhibition there. This collaboration now extends to Milan, marking a continued partnership with the Saudi cultural center. Routes to Roots, co-curated by Isola and Ithra, is a journey through design from the MENA regions that preserves local heritage and the Earth. The focus is on products that draw inspiration and expertise from ancestors pairing it with cutting-edge craftsmanship, in a demonstration of how emerging talents can breathe fresh life into the design landscape, bridging the gap between tradition and innovation. This event has been organized by Isola Studio, Isola’s new branch that supports design companies and institutions.
Grazie alle crescenti relazioni in Medio Oriente, Isola è entusiasta di presentare Routes to Roots a Milano. Dopo il grande successo in Arabia Saudita, in occasione della Conference of Creativity, Tanween 2023, per la quale Isola è stata invitata dal King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture - Ithra a curare la mostra, questa collaborazione si estende ora a Milano, segnando una partnership con Ithra che procede con successo nel tempo. Questo progetto è stato realizzato da Isola Studio, la nuova agenzia di design di Isola che offre servizi di comunicazione e organizzazione di eventi a diversi professionisti del design. Co-curata con Isola, Ithra presenta Routes to Roots, un viaggio attraverso il design della regione MENA che preserva il patrimonio locale e la Terra. L’attenzione si concentra sui prodotti che traggono ispirazione dalla tradizione, abbinandoli all’artigianato d’avanguardia, a dimostrazione di come i talenti emergenti possano dare nuova vita al panorama del design, colmando il divario tra tradizione e innovazione.
