IT'S ALL ABOUT IMPACT

At Novel Grey we want to make impact. Impact with beautiful and remarkable biophilic design. We want to make the world around us a better and more beautiful place. With the wellbeing of the users in mind we create designs based on natural patterns and created a handcrafted process which produces amazingly beautiful designed wall decoration. In this process we not only focussed on the design, but also on the look and feel of the tiles. Tactility and playing with expectations are key factors in our work. Every tile is one of kind. No tile is the same. These invisible 'imperfections' in combination with the natural design relate to the users in a way that they all can identify with it. Therefore they feel 'at home'. 

As we believe sustainability should be intrinsic, we’ve found ways to recycle old concrete rubble and reuse it in new concrete designs. Furthermore we’ve found a way to replace Portland cement completely with waste products from the metal industry. The so called geopolymer or inorganic polymer concrete (IPC) has an impressive CO2 reduction compared to ordinary concrete of 76%. But also our recycled concrete (RRC) and low energy concrete (ARC) score good at eco costs.

Wall Decoration

Novel Grey makes wall decoration. Luxurious, high end, stunning designs with nature and the users in mind. The art-like tiles evoke touch and desire. They can be used in a statement piece on the wall or can be used as wall cladding. Not only suitable for bathrooms our outside wall cladding, but for every imaginable room; the master bedroom, the dining room, living room, et cetera.

Awarded

Our amazing wall decoration was launched in 2022 and even won the Isola Design Award for sustainability! Novel Grey is also finalist in the Dutch Innovation top 100 2023, award winner of the best Dutch design of 2022 (G100) and finalist for sustainable interior design for the Green Product Award 2023.
