Leforme Atelier will showcase its limited collection of MODULA lamps at Café Gorille.
The multimedia design project founded in Rome by Amauta Ciriachi presents its limited collection of MODULA floor and table lamps, fluid structures that can change shape through simple interlocking.
The plexiglass (or opal glass) plates are fixed on the three grooves of the lime wood base without the use of glue, making them easy to dismantle and ship in a flat pack.
"I am nomadic by definition and prefer lightweight and easily disassembled furniture elements: MODULA lamps are designed to be carried in a shopper or in the hand luggage of an airplane."
An approach halfway between design - given the possibility of reproducing the pieces in series - and the all-craft dedication to the unique piece.
The wooden base with its three channels makes it similar to a theatrical set in which new and unlikely characters can be inserted: a simple coloured circle completely changes its style and from minimal it transforms into something very different.
For this reason, a set of small coloured geometric elements is available to modify the original design.
With MODULA, you can play, everyone arranges their shapes as they want.
"I spent the two lockdowns in my house-laboratory alone with the cat and the MODULA was perfect for those who risk boredom: I could have a Modula Boob in pink with a comforting light for a cloudy day, or a very colorful lamp for children with volcanoes and clouds ... or a classic, black and white, sober furniture element (Modula Classica).
The MODULA "system" is therefore an adaptable format for any situation.
LEFORME Atelier also produces custom-made lighting installations (preferably large ones).
