Designers are creating solutions for societal challenges. Social Design is a living, evolving term born in opposition to the purely commercial design concept.
Where Dutch designers have been pioneering sustainable design, nowadays, they are taking the lead in Social Design. Whether it’s Social Design for the elderly, homeless, social interaction, or working towards a social economy, with their creativity, the designers are creating opportunities for our generation and the generations to come.
Isola organized this exhibition in collaboration with the Dutch Consulate in Milan and the Dutch Embassy in Rome.
Participating designers and design studios: Denovo Design, Malou Beemer, Sheltersuit, Stichting de Tijdmachine, Studio Anne Ligtenberg, Studio Boot & C-mone, Studio Sociaal Centraal, Super Local, Volle-Kracht.
